Inktober #11”I nearly blasted you to cinders” -Skidar
"My son." Hades’s tone was almost gentle. "Whatever happens, you have earned my respect. You brought honor to our house when we stood together against Kronos in Manhattan. You risked my wrath the help the Jackson boy— guiding him to the River Styx, freeing him from my prison, pleading with me to raise the army or Erebos to assist him. Never before have I been so harassed by one of my sons. Percy this and Percy that. I nearly blasted you to cinders.”

My inktober artwork for day 7! No spoilers here (I haven’t actually started the book yet) Ahh, I’m getting sentimental, I can’t believe this is the last book ;_;

John Green’s “The Fault in our Stars” : Graphics pack III

My most favorites of the packs are probably on this one, those 3 on top … <3, Aw, John Green, thank you for this book, really …

They’ll be available as a postcards set once I’m done, :)

“May I see you again?” he asked. There was an endearing nervousness in his voice.
I smiled. “Sure.”
“Tomorrow?” he asked.
“Patience, grasshopper,” I counselled. “You don’t want to seem overeager.
“Right, that’s why I said tomorrow,” he said. “I want to see you again tonight. But I’m willing to wait all night and much of tomorrow.” I rolled my eyes. “I’m serious,” he said.
“You don’t even know me,” I said. I grabbed the book from the center console. “How about I call you when I finish this?”
“But you don’t even have my phone number,” he said.
“I strongly suspect you wrote it in this book.”
He broke out into that goofy smile. “And you say we don’t know each other.”

Photo 2 Jan 6 notes Rainbow Rowell is my new favorite author, having written such amazing books. (Read the 2 books in 4 days. YES, that’s how good they are, very hard to stop reading)
You can relate to all the characters, laugh and basically feel everything they are feeling during every scene. They inspire you too!
I think I love Fangirl more than Eleanor & Park simply because I grew up thinking like Cath- going through awkward transition and stuff. And I grew up writing fanfics on notebooks with 2 of my best friends. So its such a wonder to be taken back to the time where you used to do stuff like those. This book inspires you to continue your passion in writing. The cutest part of the story is that it reminds you of your first love; how Levi and Cath started and ended up together- super sweet and cute especially how Levi is always there for her. You literally would root for them even in the beginning.
Eleanor & Park is different.. In some ways, I can relate to Eleanor (not because I have the same name as hers). Reading through is a mix of cute, happy / funny and sad feels! In a messed up world, its nice to see two characters try to find something good with everything that’s happening- that they have this perfect little world in each other’s arms and escape reality through comics and music. You could admire Park for loving Eleanor and accepting her for what/who she is. I’ve hoped that Eleanor wrote “Nothing ever ends” to Park giving them hope in the future (or can she just say she loves him already?!) I wish there’s more to this story— that at some point there would be closure (do they end up together, do they find each other in the mere future or will they end up with other people?)
Gotta say, Rainbow Rowell did an awesome job in building up these characters and make us swoon over them (ahem Levi and Park).
I wish the books will find its way to the big screen too! They are the kind of stories that gives inspiration to the youth and worth re-telling through movies. =))
